At our company, collaboration is the key to success. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues in a smaller organization where everyone is equally important.

The most important job of the future

We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, both personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the global mining and minerals industry?

LKAB Kimit is one of Sweden's largest individual explosives manufacturers. We manufacture, store, and distribute our own emulsion explosives and provide loading vehicles for tunnel and bulk loading.

Your role

As a Laboratory Engineer, you will work both practically and analytically in our laboratory. You will plan the work together with the team, perform analyses, and document the results in reports. The role involves preparing and participating in meetings where you contribute your own points, while also supporting chemical handling and safety routines. You will assist with calculations and analyses, develop methods for sample handling and analysis, and participate in projects that connect the laboratory with production. Depending on your experience, you may also train production staff and colleagues within LKAB.

What you bring with you

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills who can transform numbers and data into clear conclusions and reports. You are collaborative and enjoy working closely with others in a smaller organization where everyone is equally important. Your curiosity drives you to learn new things and understand the entirety of our processes. Since we work with explosives, it is important that you are loyal and follow our routines, while also having a high safety awareness in everything you do.

  • An academic degree in chemistry
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license for manual transmission
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Experience working in a laboratory is considered an advantage

If you are shortlisted for the position, you will need to be approved by MSB (The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency).

We warmly welcome your application!

We strive for a fair and objective recruitment process. Therefore, we usually do not ask for personal letters. Instead, we ask you to answer questions related to the specific position you are applying for. Your answers help us understand your skills and experience, so please take the time to respond as clearly and thoroughly as possible.
